Joe Molloy
Joe served as a senior executive in the New York Yankees for eleven years and is a former Owner and Managing General Partner of the New York Yankees. He served as the General Partner of the Yankees for six years, from 1992- 1998, and from 1992-1995 he was the Managing General Partner, responsible for all baseball and business operations.

Under Joe’s leadership, the Yankees expanded their investments in player development and scouting. After George  Steinbrenner’s reinstatement as the Yankees’ Managing General Partner on March 1, 1993, Joe remained an Owner and General Partner, involved in all aspects of the organization's baseball and business activities. As the leader of the most valuable sports franchise in the world – headquartered in the world’s financial and media capital – Joe has sat at the apex of the elite levels of sports business.

Many of the franchise owners that Joe regularly dealt with during his tenure at the Yankees have now expanded their assets to other teams and leagues, enhancing JAM Sports’ global network of league commissioners, club owners and executives, sell side bankers, deal teams, media contacts and sports business executives.

Major League Baseball Franchise Leadership Experience
  • Established and maintained regular communication with other owners of Major League Baseball teams.
  • Served as Chairman of the Major League Baseball Negotiating Committee for the Player Development Agreement, 1992- 1996, resulting in substantial savings to Major League Baseball.
  • Conceptualized, planned and executed the acquisition and development of Legends Field, the anchor of the Yankees' new Spring Training facility in Tampa, Florida, Yankees, which hosted the Yankees' inaugural Spring Training game on March 1, 1996.
  • Managed and directed the design, development and construction of Legends Field, the Yankees state-of-the-art, $30 million Major League Spring Training Facility, and renovations to the Yankees' Minor League Complex, in concert with the State of Florida, Hillsborough County, The City of Tampa, the Tampa Sports Authority, Hillsborough Community College, other governmental agencies, Yankees staff, and a design build team comprised of The Wilson Company, Lescher & Mahoney Architects and Case Contracting Company.
  • Managed and directed the negotiation of the land acquisition, use and development agreements for Legends Field among the Yankees, the State of Florida, Hillsborough County, the City of Tampa, the Tampa Sports Authority and Hillsborough Community College.
  • Negotiated with the Mayor of New York and various governmental agencies for the implementation of various renovation efforts and activities at the old Yankee Stadium in New York (1987-1998).
  • Managed and directed various renovation efforts and activities at the old Yankee Stadium in New York.
  • Negotiated millions of dollars of Major League Baseball Player, corporate sponsorship, television, radio, other media, and other business contracts and agreements on behalf of the Yankees.
  • Developed and managed the Yankees revenues and expenditure budgets for several consecutive years.
  • Implemented technology across the entire New York Yankees Organization
  • Implemented a new purchasing procedure realizing immediate cost savings.
  • Developed and implemented the reorganization efforts of the New York Yankees from the Minor Leagues to the Major Leagues, resulting in the Club's first World Series championship in almost twenty years (1996).
  • Responsible for all aspects of contract formulation with Major League players, coaches, and managers.
  • Interviewing and placement of front office and field staff. (CEO, CFO, COO, CAO, CTO, Field Manager)
  • Spearheaded educational programs for foreign Major League players, which focused on English, Mathematics, and American customs.
  • Directed the non-profit New York Yankees Foundation.
  • Directed and personal participated in numerous community, charitable and philanthropic affairs and activities in New York and Tampa.
